  • Thank you John for the service to my van today great job and good fun all part of your service, the work done on my motor mover has sorted it out thank you, is my tea so bad?

  • Excellent service today on the van from John.
Always a pleasure & the peace of mind it brings is well worth it.
Many thanks John & see you next year.

  • John what a star you are. You sourced a replacement new window and fitted it, for our neighbour’s caravan (that out dear son broke with his football) and saved us around £200 in the process compared to other quotes.

We can’t be more satisfied, you thoroughly deserve every praise.
Will always recommend you to others.

    Thanks
    Joanne

  • Our 1 year old caravan needed it’s first service and being new to caravanning we just contacted a mobile workshop in our local area and got it done. Shortly afterwards we were told the engineer was not NCC approved and we had just wasted £140! Our deadline for the service to be done to keep the warranty valid was the next day! We frantically phoned around to try and find an approved dealer that could help us but no one would help. our last call was to Mission Impossible and boy do they live up to their name! John the engineer took all our stress and worry away in one phone call! he rearranged his diary to come all the way to Cambridge to service the caravan.
This man is an absolute gem and the company live up to their name, he even called the other engineer to request our money back!
We will be using Mission Impossible for every service from now on their knowledge and customer service is just brilliant!
Thank you John and ps the non approved engineer is sending us our money back thanks to you

    • Hi Racheal.

I keep trying to warn people about these people who attend a 5 day corse, “One of those are with a bank manager”
They may say they are qualified!!!
They have just attended, Truma etc. None have done any exam whatsoever.
They don’t even have the correct liability insurance.

      Remember
      Domestos kills all known germs………….
They don’t tell people what the results are??

Thank you for the kind words.

      John

  • John is a very competent, skilled and thorough engineer who I cannot praise enough for the work he carried out on my van. (Damage caused by another local unapproved mobile caravan workshop) He goes the extra mile to help his customers and will not leave a job incomplete. I highly recommend Missions Impossible for all caravan servicing and repairs. Thanks John, you're a star.

    • Hi Peter.
Thank you for your kind words, I do hope you made him pay for the axle?

  • Superb service from John. Very thorough & really impressed with his knowledge & advice. Sadly we had a damp problem, but John put us on to a top guy who came out the next day to give us an estimate & we picked the van up at the weekend & it's better now than it was new. Wholeheartedly recommend Missions Impossible Ltd – BEWARE OF IMITATIONS – John IS the real deal! 5 star experience.

    • Blimey Andy, you sure it was me???????

Thank you for the kind words

  • Very good service, very efficient and comprehensive. John had all the necessary equipment to individually test electric, gas, water and chasis equipment. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend for his first class service.

    • Thanks Rick.
      That's very kind of you.
      John

  • This is my first caravan and my dad wanted to make sure it was safe for me and my children so arranged for John to come and service it after reading great reviews through the Caravan Club.

John was very friendly and explained what he was doing as he went along, he didn’t make you feel like you were in the way and he also gave me a quick lesson on how everything works which being a novice like me was a big help. John really knows his stuff and is not out to rip people off. If I was to have any problems with my caravan in the future I wouldn’t hesitate in giving him a call.

To sum it up I spent my afternoon with a diamond guy who has a great sense of humour and that really knows his stuff. I highly recommend John to anyone that needs a repair or service done on their caravan, you won’t be disappointed.

Many many thanks again Michelle x

    • Hi Michelle. You yourself made my day. Nice family. John

  • First time that we have used John and we are very pleased that we did. John is a gent, who believes in a proper quality service for a reasonable price. At all times during the service John was willing to explain everything that he was doing. In fact, at times he could talk for England, but that is no bad thing.
The main dealers could learn a lot about service from people like John.
I have posted recommendations on both the Swift-Talk and MotorhomeFacts forums.

    • Yeh I do go on I know.

      Thanks for the feedback

  • Hi John many thanks for the service sheet,I can caravan now safe in the Knowledge that our van is in good working orderand can i book next years service in for mon 18th Nov 2013 morning slot please. cheers John

    • Hi Tim & Mue.

Thanks for the feedback and yes it's booked in for next year 09:00hrs 18th.

      John

  • After many years of hauling my caravan back to the supplying dealer in order to have it serviced or repaired I discovered John Doman.

Mr Doman does exactly what it says on his card. And he does it extremely well at way below dealer prices. He is able to carry out warranty work to manufacturers specifications and is approved by both The Caravan Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club. Add that to the fact that he comes to you which enables you to avoid fuel costs and sometimes hours of driving this unique service is worth considering the next time you require work done on your caravan.

I recommend John Doman's 'Mission Impossible' to anyone with a caravan. I only wish I had discovered him 25 years ago. He is a very nice man with a sense of humour and a vast knowledge of everything to do with caravans.

    • Thanks for those kind words David..

      John

  • What a man.Does a brilliant job, while telling you everything he's doing. I had a problem on my heating which was suposed to be done at the dealers,he found it straight away and got it fixed.Brilliant!!. I would recommend him to everybody that has a caravan. Well done John and many thanks. Robin

  • Hi John,
Just a quick thank you for the thorough service carried out to our Adria 542DT. Value for money and confidence that all has been done correctly.
If anyone is looking for an excellent guy to carry out service or repair John is the man.
    Cheers,
    The Browns – Daventry.

  • Had a guy localy claiming to be a service engineer. Asked is he approved, yes he said.
Never again. Phoned Missions and sorted out an ilegaly service van and I just want to say thank you John.

  • Service beyond the call of duty. I made a good choice.

    Thank you John.

  • Hi John,

We were so lucky to find you John, saved a packet compared to what Bailey wanted. We were very impressed with the thorough work John done, he even insisted Peter sat in and watched which was great as he was able to ask a lot of questions being a rather novice caravan user.
Have already booked our 2nd year service with no hesitation.
What a great service, Friendly, Helpful and thorough, what more can we say!!! Thank John.

  • Just want to say many thanks to John for servicing our twin axle Challenger last week – absolutely brilliant. I am fairly new to the world of caravanning (okay, it's my first one…) and he was able to teach me loads of things I really need to know (there's so much to find out!) and is superbly knowledgeable on these things, having been working on them for decades. I had a brilliant afternoon in his company, and as qualified vehicle examiner myself (though I never mentioned this… sorry, John, forgot :) ) I was really pleased by how thorough he was and remain impressed by his dedication and expertise. I have already booked him in for next year's service and I will call him straight away if anything else comes about that needs specialist attention. I would heartily recommend that you do the same. :) Thanks again, Mark.

    • Hi Mark. Thank you for those real kind words.. Ya sly ole dog..

      Regards

      John

  • What a gent,This guy is a diamond .I found him on the internet when I managed to wreck the cold water supply when attempting to fit a fresh water filter in our new caravan. The first thing John did was explained in non tecnical english what I should have done and soon came to the conclusion that I did not have a clue .So he squeezed in a appointment in my area 40 odd miles away within 5 days
    Thanks again .Your a gent
    Kind regards
    Peter Frearson Aylesbury

  • Had John of Missions Impossible service our Bailey Sancerre for the first time last week. This was actually the first time I've had a caravan serviced and as an engineer myself I'm very fussy about who I have working on my vehicles & caravan. I needn't have worried – John invited me to watch every step of the service, and I was very impressed with his attention to detail and expert knowledge! Why can't everyone be like this?! John carried out checks that were beyond the scope of a standard service and even sorted out a couple of niggling issues at no extra charge. He only left when I was entirley satified and couldn't find anything else for him to do! John is a great laugh and it's a genuine pleasure having him to work on my caravan. There's no doubt that I'll be using Missions Impossible again….so pleased that I decided against using my local dealer! Thanks once again John!

  • John sorted the delaminated floor, on an Avondale managing to inject the resin from underneath. All seems to have taken well so happy that the fix has worked and for a very fair price. Cheers John sorry for the belated feedback.

  • Thankyou John for another job well done. An interesting and entertaining afternoon watching you at work. Hope you enjoy riding your triumph 21, nice bike.
    See you next year.

    • Wobbly ladder man.

      Ha Ha, thanks Chris

  • Another year gone and another caravan service by John at Missions Impossible. As usual an excellent job completed along with John's good humour. Gives great confidence going into another year of touring with our van. Look forward to seeing you again next year.

    Thanks again.

  • I ordered some Carver mover rollers from John which turned out to be an unusual size.He was able to source them for me and kept me informed.I was very pleased with the service and would be happy to recommend anyone to deal with him.

  • John has just completed the 1st service on my Swift Challenger 565. He is extremely knowledgable, will do any job with great skill and enthusiasm.
Very high standard of work – I cannot recommend him highly enough. Well done – he's the man for any future caravan job I may have.

    • And I've had a great laugh with you today. Thanks it's great to have people like you….

      John

  • I would like to add my comments to the long list of John's very happy and satisfied customers. John is a craftsman in all of the skills he demonstrates in the complex electrical. gas and mechanical areas of his work.

Even working on our caravan today in the pouring rain his sense of humour and determination to get everything tested and fixed was not dented.

Thanks again John, always a pleasure to have you here.

  • Just had my my 2010 Sterling elite Searcher serviced by Missions Impossible very impressive ,one can learn alot watching John and he doesnt mind you doing just that.
Very professional at his work and a tale or two to go with .Next service John your the man.

  • Super service from John again this year.
Quality of workmanship second to none.

    Thanks Geoff.

    • Dad liked the bike. Thanks for the kind words………

  • This bloke is the guvnor!Great personal service that puts rip-off main dealers to shame–he sorted a long standing cooker problem that a main dealer could not be bothered to fix in minutes and carried out the rest of the service with meticulous attention to detail.
I cannot recommend him highly enough.

    Rock on John!

I'll be back for some guitar lessons real soon….

    Rich.

  • Another good job done by John Doman of missions impossible. My yearly service.
I now have more confidence to face the coming caravan season knowing that every thing is as it should be and I thank John for a thorough and well done job. I would reccomend him to any body with a caravan and I will never use anybody else.If John GIVES YOU A PRICE FOR THE JOB THEN THATS THE PRICE.Well done and thanks Martin M. Keynes

    • Thanks Martin. Nice breakfast too.

      John

  • This man is a MARVEL!! Given an electrical fault that everyone else was unable to fix, John 'fitted us' into his busy schedule on the same day we rang; as we wanted to take our van away. He then set about making it his business to find and fix the fault, refusing to be beaten! Sure enough, having used intelligent, good humoured analysis and patience, he discovered the fault (where others had repeatedly failed) and fixed it…. only asking for a cup of tea in payment. He is definitely top of our list of phone numbers now and we will only use him in future. We honestly cannot recommend him highly enough

    • Thank you both. I'm halfway down the bottle as I type……

      Kind regards John

  • What praises can I say about this unique man John Doman that so many others have not already poured on him. While money grabbing these days is the norm by most, from the government and local councils down to most service providers, John looks like he has come from another planet. We met John when he came to repair our caravan mover
under the manufacturer's guarantee. He got down to work and with the added benefit of his sense of humour the mover was repaired and instead of leaving me to lower the caravan down from supporting blocks, which provided working space under the caravan, he insusted on presenting me with the finished product. Even then he was not finished then. John had noticed that one of the rear legs had been damaged, so he set about and in no time repaired the leg as well. Finally, I happened to mention that while I was working under the caravan myself I had the caravan sloping up at a high angle and as a result the fridge had been damaged. Experts recommended by Thetford had informed me that I needed to buy a new fridge costing £700 and that I was waiting to repair the mover so that I could take the caravan to the Thetford agent for repairs, John did not buy this and within minutes had the fridge out with the promise that there can't be anything wrong with it. Sure enough in no time the fridge was once again alive and well. Anyone else would have fleeced me.
Now I can't wait for another breakdown just to have the pleasure of having John to repair my caravan.
Thank you John, I will cherish the experience of meeting someone like you.

    Diran and Daphne

  • Nice couple. I just wanted to show you that some people are not out to rip off your arms & legs.

    John

  • After 27 years of caravanning, old age, a bad back and a new heavier caravan dictated that it was time to get a motor mover. The couple who bought my previous caravan had a mover fitted by Missions Impossible and were very pleased with it, so it was time to give John a call.

I rang him on 20/02/2012 and he recommended the new Powrtouch Evolution Auto. The price he quoted was the best I had received, so he was booked to fit it on the afternoon of 22/02/2012. He arrived on time and had it fitted in a couple of hours or so (thanks to a little help from me pushing wires through holes I couldn't see) !!! The work was neat and tidy and all cables were properly secured.

John explained the procedures for operating the mover and gave me a demonstration before I had a go myself. Great bit of kit ! Can't comment on it's reliability yet but it comes with a 5 year warranty so no worries.

If you're looking for a mover (or anything else for the caravan) then John's your man. Great service at a great price. What more can you ask for ?

    • Thank you Neil. The phones alway's on

  • Thanks John will be able to cook the food properly now. Fantastic service…..very highly recommended, will definitely be back :)

    • Thanks for that:
      It's a nice conversion. I like it.

      Kind regards

      John

    Jack Schofield

    • Thank you Jack.

      Kind regards

      John Doman

  • John was recommended by a mate to come as a mobile caravan service man. We booked him, easy.
He did the work, no fuss.
He made us smile (he is mad as a box of chocolate frogs you know!
And my mate is still my mate.
Going to use missions impossible for all our work now. Top bloke, top job.
(I would have said cheap as well but that sounds so wrong).

    • Hey, I'm not the one with 17 dogs and one that wee's on the jockey wheel.

      John (Missions)

  • enigineer was very good, already booked for next year.

    • Thanks for the eggs. I'll bring back the cartons then……… John

  • John serviced our 2008 twin axle elddis on Sat, he did the service while i was on a caravan rally and did a great job at the right price saving me appox £200 on the dealer price.

    Thanks Tim

  • In Sept 2011 I purchased a twin axle 26ft Lunar caravan and wanted a single mover fitted as I have to park backwards between two walls with only 4 inches gap each side. I looked on the inernet and clicked on Missions Impossible ltd and John Doman rang me and recommended a Powrtouch because of it only working one axle. I took his advice and bought one which he fitted at my house when it arrived. It works really well and I am very relieved.4 days later I smashed the o/s rear of the van and rang John to ask him to come and repair the damage which he did ata a very sesible price. He worked all day on the damage and finished the job at 7.oo at night. This man is a perfctionist and takes a real pride in his work.He is the only caravan service and repair gur that I shall use in the future and I am so glad that I used Missions Impossible to do the job. I would reccommend John Doman to anyone with complete confidence and I look forward to a full service soon so that I am all ready for next season. My thanks again John and will be in touch soon, Regards Martin Duwell Milton Keynes.

    • Thanks for the Rolex!!!

      John

  • Having had my caravan serviced a number of times at main dealers, I was always unimpressed to get a service sheet with only ticks on that either meant the appliance was checked out or they had spotted that I had one. Did the tick against the fridge mean that the service centre had fully checked and tested it or that they had spotted mine and wanted to reassure me that I had a fridge! Well I can do the same without paying for it.
So this year after reading a letter in caravan club magazine, I went for the approved mobile service and my local was John.
Such a difference! All my appliances were fully tested and reports of CO2 levels, battery charging output etc. were supplied. When I mentioned an issue with tyre pressures and slipping motor mover, in 10 minutes flat John had sorted a problem with the movers I had had for 3 years and despite various returns to get corrected were “solved” previously by over inflating the tyres.
This is the first time I have paid for a service and really seen the benefits.
Cannot recommend highly enough and look forward to using John as my regular caravan service and repair.
    Thanks John
    Kind Regards
    Stephen Palmer

    • Thank you Stephen.

      kind regrards

  • Great customer service and great caravan servicing from John and James.
Will recommend Mission Impossble to family and friends.
    Thanks see you next year.

    • Thanks Peter. Nice tea!!!

  • Discovered a gas leak whilst away in Derbyshire and called John when we got back to Banbury. Turned up within 10 minutes of the call (luckily he was in the area) and fixed the leak within the hour. Very professional, very entertaining with his assistant James, and a very good price. Didn't drink any tea, what's wrong with our tea John? John and James, you have my custom from now on. Service in the Spring next year and any other work we need doing. Many thanks!

    Tony.

    • Hi Tony.
      Your more than welcome.

      Kind regards

      John & James

  • Hi John & James Thank you for carrying out the Warranty work on our Coachman
Pastiche, you were very professional in your workmanship, it has rained today and window ok.
    We can highly recommend
    Missions Impossible for servicing e.t.c

  • John,
Just a quick note to say how impressed i was with the service i recieved from you and james….. full service carried out and no mess left behind, quick, efficent and on time. Definatly will be using you again.

    regards
    mark.

  • Missions Impossible 'JOHN' and young James came to service our Vanmaster 640 twin-axel Occasion this week in our barn. What a pleasant surprise to have a FULL service without cutting corners. Usually the maufacturer does our servicing, which ends up costing us about £400 (including a 7hr round trip and a tank of deisel!) .
Our van was FULLY serviced, nothing left un-checked, everything made safe, advice given, bits and pieces oiled and greased and no mess left behind. JOHN, you're a great guy – many thanks – will highly recommend anyone needing a service, repair or any number of the other jobs you can do.
    Kind regards
    Sue & Mike

    • Thanks for that. Hopefuly your MPG should increase another 5 to the gallon

  • Had John to service our Coachman 560 today, must say the service given was excellent & would recommend them to any one,
many thanks to john & mate,

    • Mick
Thanks Mick, his name is James. He makes us laugh eh?

  • John fitted my caravan mover last Saturday , he advised me on the best on to get and serviced my caravan at the same time. How refreshing it is to have somebody who is honest and straight forward, and you know he is not going to overcharge. John you are a star and I will be keeping you on my books for further work as required, and passing your details onto friends with caravans
    Thanks again
    Adrian Humphris.

    • Spot on Adrian, Thanks for that.

      Kind regards

      John

  • John fitted my new Alko Hitch a couple of days ago and managed to retrieve my spare keys from my locked van (other set stolen!) This is the second time I have used John and find his service and honesty outstanding. I wouldn'nt use anyone else.

    • Thanks for that Simon.

      kind regards

      John

  • What a lifesaver you are John!!! We had bad experience with another so called caravan engineer who told us our vans brakes were ceased up and he couldn't do anything[rather couldn't be bothered]. We found Missions from the Nat Caravan Club site and he said dont panic sure I can fix it and he has been today and done it. He has to come back to do a couple of bits but cannot thank him enough. I know who we will be using and recommending to everyone we know and its you John. Thanks again and I'll make sure you get more tea when you come back!!

    • I told you it wasn't going to be a problem and I'm glad you can now enjoy your Eriba!

  • I got John involved in a warranty claim job (water ingress around a window) on a Lunar
He went out of his way to organise, phoning Lunar to get the authorisation and parts – and he then 'squeezed me in' at the end of his day's work when he should have been going home !
I am really impressed at both his attention to detail and his work ethic – many thanks John I will be happy to recommend you and future services are all yours !
    Cheers
    Jon

    • What a nice thing to say.

      Thank you

  • Today was the first time that I had Missions to service my van and after the efficient way that it was carried out I know where I will be going next year. John explained everything that he was doing and fixed a couple of faults as well.
    Thanks for a great service!

    • Thank you for the kind words.
      John

  • I was a bit wary at trying to book someone to carry out a service on my Bailey Pegasus Alutech at home. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the way John carried out the service and at the convenience of not having to tow the caravan somewhere.
I know how I will be getting my van serviced in future.

    Dave K

    • Thanks you those words David.

      Kind regards

      John

  • First time I have used Missions Impossible, only wish I knew of John in previous years.
Excellent service – does not cut any corners – always makes sure that everything is complete and tested, and was more than happy to explain what he was doing.
    Excellent Service all round.

    • Thank you for those kind word Steve.
I'm sorry for the delay with your service sheet.

      Kind regards

      John

  • What a fab man. Excellent service and hard worker. Fully recommend.

    • Thanks for that. You sure it was me?
      Nice tea!

  • he found that one of the motors was damaged. He fitted the rest of the mover and said he would be back to fit a new motor as soon as he got a replacement. He phoned on the monday evening to say he had the new motor and that he was on his way home from another job and would call by to fit it. He arrived at 10.00pm, fitted it and checked every thing was working before leaving an hour later. That is outstanding service. Thankyou John, your number is in my book for future work.

    • Sorry you were messed about.

      Kind regards

  • John has just carried out the first service on my Coachman and I would happily recommend Missions Impossible to anyone requiring their services.

He has an impressive range of test equipment to ensure that all systems are fully operational, which any "static" workshop would struggle to beat.

John was happy to talk through the procedure and explain exactly what he was doing and did not move on from any aspect of the service until he was entirely satisfied that it was correct.

A fully detailed written report was supplied on completion.

Many thanks for a very thorough job at a very reasonable price. – I'll see you again next year.

    • Thank you for the very kind words. Your good lady makes very nice tea, please thank her for me.

  • Being unable to take my Pegasus Alu-tech back to the supplier for its first service due to having a new knee fitted I contacted Bailey customer service to find out if they could recommend a mobil engineer to service my van they gave me Missions impossible. Contacted John he arrived on time and did a first class service.
Having been a caravaner for 46 years and a retired engineer myself, I know the standard of work carried out was far better than any I have had from any Maim dealer at a price that puts Main Dealers to shame, so I can recommend him to anyone.

    • Your more than welcome, thankyou for the kind words Geoff. Get that bike cleaned……….John

  • Would recommend John to anybody who wants a proper job doing on their caravan. I now have confidence in my caravan being safe to use for the next 12 months.
Very thorough despite the wet weather.
    Quality job – top man.

    • Thanks John
You make a mean bacon sandwitch too…

  • Missions Impossible came out to service our beloved Fleetwood. My Husband was so thrilled with the comprehensive service sheet, he said it puts most dealers to shame.
Even an added bonus of being workshop approved. That disapointed us as we could have not delt with the dealers to keep up our warranty. Missions can do new vans!

Does drink pleanty of tea though :-)

    • Are you sure I do.
      Thanks for the kind words…

  • John came out on a cold afternoon to fix our RV boiler, fantastic service, top man, highly recommended…
but don't let him near your Scimitar!

  • Dear Sir/ Madam,
I would like to thank you for the help and advice I received from your
Staff, especially Theresa Willis, on making inquiries about the cost and fitting of a Caravan Mover to my caravan.
We had to cancel some of our holidays in 2009 because I suffered a bout of Sciatica and was unable to move the Caravan about, thinking I had overcome the problem early 2010, my wife and I set off again but the sciatica returned while on holiday, on return we made inquiries about having a mover fitted,
I went on to the internet to get as much information as I could and decided I would like a Powrwheel Mover, I found a couple of local service agents, I contacted one of them, John Doman, who gave me a lot of good advice and recommended that I rang you and speak to Theresa for a price and organise the fitting, which I did, this was on 1 June 2010, the mover was received on the 4th. and fitted on the 8th, it was pouring with rain all day, but John still came and fitted it then gave us a full demonstration. Wonderful service from both yourselves and John Doman, who I had never met before, but he has just been back and completed a full service on the caravan ready for 2011, he is a Person you could recommend knowing you would get a good job done .
We only wish we had had a Mover fitted years ago, not waited over 40 years, in it makes everything easy, but still better late than never.
    Again thanks to everybody concerned,

    Yours sincerely

  • got a service from john to day top bloke did a gr8 job and whent way past just a service definately will recommend him to all i know with a caravan.

    • Thanks for the kind words Barry

  • We had our pride and joy serviced by john and it was quite an experience i must add a good one. He came to our house drank a lot of tea and did a fantastic job with the caravan{as well as keeping us quite amused even though the weather a bit wet} would recommend him to any one and will definately use him again, value for money and service with a smile can`t say that about many services today, many thanks john

    • Thanks for those kind words.
      Regards to Julie (The caravan)

      John.
      P.s
I don't drink that much tea!

      Do I???

  • If you are out of the region to get your caravan repairs/service done by John then tough cause you will not get better or more reasonably priced. He repaired my caravan fridge in half and hour and a promise he would do my caravan service in future. What a cracking bloke he is.

    • Eric

Don't leave it another 30 years for a service :-)

      Added April 2011:
Eric. I know you will now never read this now but if you are out there. Just thanks for being my friend. Your gonna be missed…….
      Love John

  • Thanks for all the help recently we had just bought our first caravan with no previous knowledge only to find out that because we didn't have a battery we burnt out our charger. If it had not been for your fantastic support we probably would still be wondering what to do.So if anybody needs help this is the guy to contact.

  • John has serviced my caravan for the past 2 years, cant fault him, does a good job at a reasonable rate, what more can I say!

  • John serviced my van on 23rd March, previously it had always been serviced by a dealer, mentioned that dealer had quoted me £1,000 to fix heater, John took it apart and fixed total cost £20, he did a great job on the service, it will never go back to a dealer again

  • Called them out to give an opiniom on my Truma water heater. Dealer advised me it needed a new PCB board costing nearly £200. Missions came out and within 5 mins had fixed the problem for just a £45 call out charge and not fitted any new part

They will be servicing my van from now on

  • So I contacted my dealer who couldn\'t fit me in
    — but gave me the telephone number of a mobile fitter they use
    — \"Missions Impossible Ltd\" prop -John Doman
    — he asked me to do a couple of simple checks
    — and came to the conclusion that the 240 v element had gone
    — on my way he said !!

Can I go over to the dealers with the details of the fridge and get a 240 V element ?
    — John was 40 mile away
    — and by the time I had been and gotten the element he would be at the caravan!!

Great — I went to get the element and by the time I got back the fridge was out and being worked on —

Problem !! the element I had gotten was the wrong one
    — spade connectors and not a PCB connector!!

OK on the way back to change it
    — in the mean time John had seen that my gas regulator was too low
    — sludge etc — so he was fixing that while away
    — 40 mins round trip
    — got the correct lead and element
    — with PCB ends —

When I had got back regulator was done
    — and we installed the element –getting warm !!!

    Tried it on gas —

All this started at 9 am and by 12 he had gone
    — to fit a motor mover on someones caravan

I bought a 12 V sandwich maker from his van!!

    how much was all this
    £24 for the element
    — £15 for the sandwich maker
    — Time and labour etc £55

    Not bad I thought..
He also does mobile caravan servicing as well

    Missions Impossible Ltd

    read the web site
I would consider him for servicing next time around

  • Hi Racheal.

I keep trying to warn people about these people who attend a 5 day corse, “One of those are with a bank manager”
They may say they are qualified!!!
They have just attended, Truma etc. None have done any exam whatsoever.
They don’t even have the correct liability insurance.

    Remember
    Domestos kills all known germs………….
They don’t tell people what the results are??

Thank you for the kind words.

    John

  • If you require an honest and efficient service, this is your man.We had a motor mover fitted over Christmas which was a very painless operation. While John was here he carried out some additional work that l had not booked in Now that’s what l call service.

  • Thanks John for the service what a excellent job . Also it’s a pleasure to see some one take great pride in what he’s doing

  • A big vote of thanks from Steve and Mandy in Wellingborough. As you know this was the first time I had not used a main dealer to service the van. After witnessing the high standard of your work I had no hesitation booking up for next year. It was very informative being able to watch the various checks and maintenance as it was carried out and I certainly learned much about wheel hubs, gas checks and the like.
    All the best mate.

  • What fab service. Sorry about the ‘power cut’. I will have the kettle on ready next time. Was great to see you after all these years. It is good to feel confident in your level of work and expertise. After my disaster with another company last year, my faith has been restored. I will be recommending you to our caravanning friends.
